I thought I was ready to move forward with a revised writ of mandate, but I ran it by Steve Meeks, our attorney, who said: HOLD OFF!

“You cannot have a lawsuit and an administrative action going at the same time on the same subject. That’s why I advised taking the dismissal of the suit, and that is why the F&G representative has taken the position she has. Filing a revised petition would also be inconsistent with our motion for a stay.”

My understanding is that there’s no active administrative action, and the lawsuit is currently paused. This is precisely why having legal expertise on our side is so crucial.

I was supposed to talk to Steve Wednesday afternoon, then it was rescheduled to Thursday morning.  I’m still waiting and I need to get this email in the queue.
