We’re still waiting for the Fish and Game Commission to fulfill our Public Records Act request. Admittedly, we asked for a lot—after all, we want to know exactly how they determined that domestic ferrets are wild and detrimental.

As we prepare to officially file our petition, building support—especially from experts—will be crucial. But why wait? We should be reaching out to key organizations now. I want to start with the California Farm Bureau and the California Poultry Association. Imagine the impact if we secured letters from them in support of ferret legalization—that would be a game-changer!

Next steps: We’ll get some letterhead ordered, start drafting appeals, and publish them online.
