Organizations We’ve Contacted to Support Ferret Legalization
Ferret legalization took a major step forward on March 4, 2025, when we submitted our completed Form FGC1 to the California Fish and Game Commission under the Administrative Procedures Act. Our goal is simple: to have domestic ferrets officially recognized as domestic animals—not wild or detrimental.
As part of our petition, we submitted 300 pages of exhibits, providing clear, evidence-backed documentation that ferrets are fully domesticated, pose no environmental threat, and have never been granted a fair hearing.
To strengthen our case, we are now reaching out to key organizations, policymakers, and advocates who can help push for this long-overdue change in California’s ferret laws. Your support is crucial in ensuring that ferret owners and advocates finally get the recognition they deserve.
